For starters, organic food is a direct product of nature so since we are all connected to nature the body positively responds to organic foods. Specifically, the human body requires certain vitamins, nutrients and minerals found only in nature and since organic foods are a direct product of nature they meet the body’s needs. For instance, organic foods contain large amounts of antioxidants that safeguard the body against free radicals and strengthen the immune system. Organic foods are also rich in digestible vitamins, minerals and nutrients required by the body. Some of those nutrient-rich contents include calcium, fiber, magnesium, potassium and vitamins A, B and C just to name a few.
Aside from vitamins, minerals and nutrients, eating organic food offers several benefits that non-organic food does not. One is that eating organic food is less taxing on the body, which leaves you more energized as the body gets to exert less energy ridding the body of toxins and chemicals. Another is that eating organic food is more pleasurable because you get to enjoy the rich flavors absent in most processed foods. Also, organic foods don’t have all the preservatives and saturated fats that processed foods do so you can relax and enjoy guilt-free eating.
Suffice it to say that eating foods that are organically grown is good for us because they offer the body nature’s most precious gifts. Even amidst a culture now driven by technology and processed foods developed and specifically engineered to lure us in by the senses, the human body will still crave, be drawn to and depend on nature for its survival. Therefore, though scientists can nearly duplicate nature it cannot replace it. Genetically engineered food will never provide the human body with the nutrients required for sustenance or even remotely outdo the captivating aromas and mouth-watering flavors of nature. We are connected to and part of what we know as nature. We depend on nature down to our very cells. For they cannot survive without the benefit of nature’s very essence. Given this, the human body reacts most effectively to what it is interconnected with, nature. Pure, unmodified, natural food is what nourishes our cells because we are a part of one another. Just as there can be no earth without the sun, there can be no human life without natural food. Nature is us and we are nature. The more connected we are to nature, even by way of natural foods, the more connected we are to ourselves.
